Daniel Bernstein

Founder & CEO

Daniel Bernstein established Sandlot Games and has served as founder & CEO since its inception in 2002 as a premier developer and publisher of casual and family-friendly games across a variety of platforms. Daniel is a veteran of the gaming industry and has over twelve years of content strategy, game development, publishing and production-related experience having successfully launched over 20 game titles with Kesmai Studios, Monolith Productions and WildTangent. Prior to starting Sandlot Games, Daniel held the position of director of product strategy at WildTangent, where he devised and executed a successful online fee-based games business. An accomplished composer, Daniel also writes music for most of the games developed and published by Sandlot Games. Daniel holds a BS in Computer Science and an MA in Music Composition from the University of Virginia.

 

Treena Burton

Corporate Counsel

Ms. Burton oversees and supervises all legal affairs and human resources. Her experience includes providing business-minded advice and counsel to senior management, managing, negotiating, and drafting complex distribution and rights agreements, labor and employment, litigation prevention strategies, and training. Treena has been corporate counsel for small and medium sized businesses to large publicly traded companies. Treena has a bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia, and earned her J.D. from Seattle University Law School.

 

Jared M. Nieuwenhuis

Vice President of Marketing

Mr. Nieuwenhuis has an extensive background in the interactive entertainment industry and as the vice president of marketing, is responsible for leading all aspects of Sandlot Games corporate and consumer marketing strategy including public relations and co-marketing partnerships with licensors and publishers. Prior to Sandlot Games, Mr. Nieuwenhuis was the director of marketing communications at Vidiator (a Hutchison Whampoa Company), a leading multimedia technology and solution enabler of mobile video, audio and 3D messaging. Prior to joining Vidiator, Mr. Nieuwenhuis was the director of marketing communications at Dijji Corporation and Mobliss, where he successfully managed and promoted the launch of some of the biggest brands in the world with mobile games and campaigns for the likes of Rolling Stone, Napster, USA TODAY, The Coca-Cola Company, ESPN, Nike and Fox Television. Jared holds a BA in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Wisconsin and pursued graduate studies in mass media, elections and technology at Brown University.

 

Stuart Rosen

Director of Engineering

Stuart Rosen's 25 year career in software development spans a variety of technologies and industries with the focus on game development and military simulation systems. In the early '80's as a Program Manager, he led the development of several key titles including Pac Man for the Atari 800. In 1993, he co-founded Wizbang Software Productions to develop HyperBlade for Activision, a futuristic sport sim of his own invention that became one of the pioneering 3D Windows games. Subsequently, Wizbang was contracted by Microsoft to develop 3D Baseball and two follow-ons, touted for their realistic action and graphics. Stuart's career in technology management also includes speech recognition at Conversay, mobile IM at Openwave, work flow management systems at Cingular and IT and test lab systems at Microsoft. Stuart has an M.S. in Computer Science from Pratt Institute in New York and B.S. in Mathematics from Brooklyn College.
