Sass, you must remember that this is a Greek-themed game, not Arabian.  Ivory would've been out of place in this game.  However, I agree that the option of doing side quests is nice.  That feature was also made available in Caravans.  As for not knowing Greek myths, use this as an excuse to read some of them.

Not strictly about the game I know but about the mythology - I'm amazed !!!!!!!!!!!!  I found what I think is the book on a bookselling website then, despite it being nearly 2 a.m., I have been able to request a copy of a reprinted version from my local library using their online system. Isn't the internet wonderful !!!!!

I also thought to search for another amazing book from my childhood & found it can still be bought - can't wait to look at them both.

I didn't care for the game, too wordy and too much greek language.  Rather go back to Legends or ships.  I've played it twice and never want to play it again.
