I have been waiting forever too--and I still have 1 coal mine so that's not the problem. I have all 8 town goods but it did not give me the trophy yet--I'm guessing the train has to come through for me to get it. Ugh. Do any of you have that guy standing around by the train station? He came into town telling me something about him being able to fix trains or tracks or something along those lines. Then when we got back from the train race ques...

I don't remember exactly what I bought at the beginning, but it wasn't much, maybe a house or 2? Then I bought the little things like leena said so the mayor would buy those back instead of my houses. Then I just collected stuff and built my own houses, gold mines & wood mills and saved up enough money to go flying around the town buying everything at once at the end. He didn't know what hit him. :)

And my tips: Don't forget the value of extra warehouses - I finally realised that a couple of days ago. Before that I had a ranch + 2 farms + fishing hut and still struggling at times. Seems obvious AFTER you realise it - now have loads of warehouses & enough food to keep selling off 50 to buy wood in the marketplace (wood was always my downfall). Extra wells/water towers are good too the game tips say have wells or water towers handy near...
