If you’re a fan of the popular TV series with the same title, then you’ll be sure to enjoy this slot from IGT. This 5-reel, 20-payline slot is as thrilling as the show that inspired it. It boasts spectacular graphics and animation, and a soundtrack that only adds to the excitement of the game.

Gameplay begins with setting your bets. You may start by clicking on the Bet/Line tab in the middle of the control panel at the bottom of the screen to set your preferred coin denomination. You can choose a coin denomination from 0.01 to 5.00. You may then click on the Lines tab to set the number of lines you want to play. You can choose to play 1, 5, 10, 15, or 20 lines. To set the reels into motion, click on the Spin button on the left side of the control panel. For a chosen number of uninterrupted spins, click on the Auto tab to the left of the Bet/Line tab.

Feature Symbols

You will not see any of the familiar playing card symbols in this game, as all game symbols are theme-related. Low-value symbols are represented by a fingerprint, a DNA strand, some laboratory bottles, and a photo of someone’s hand holding a flashlight. High-value symbols are represented by four characters from the TV show. You’ll see Capt. Brass, Greg Sanders, Catherine Willows, and D.B. Russell.

The game’s Wild symbol is represented by the lead character in the TV series, Nick Stokes. This symbol can substitute for any of the other base game symbols, with the exception of the Scatter symbol and two Bonus symbols. The game’s Scatter symbol is represented by the CSI logo. The two Bonus symbols are represented by a crime scene and a safe with “Lock ’n’ Respin” printed in front of it.

Bonus Rounds

The game has three main bonus features, with the first one being the familiar Free Spins feature. This is activated when you land 3, 4, or 5 Scatter symbols anywhere on the reels. You will be rewarded with 5, 10, or 30 free spins, respectively. Landing more Scatter symbols during any of your free spins will re-trigger the bonus round. You could get as many as 60 free spins in a row.

Another exciting feature you’ll find in this game is the Lock ‘n’ Respin feature. This feature is activated when you land the Bonus symbol depicting a safe, plus any winning combination. Your winning combination will then be locked in place and the other game symbols will transform into independent, one-icon reels. The independent reels will then go for a respin, thereby giving you a chance to land more wins. All consecutive wins will be locked in place and the bonus round will continue until you no longer land a winning combination on the respin. You can activate this bonus round even during the Free Spins round.

Finally, the game has the Crime Scene Bonus, which is activated when you land at least three Crime Scene Bonus symbols on adjacent reels. You will then be brought to a mini-game where your goal is to solve the crime. You will need to collect four pieces of evidence. Each piece is collected by landing at least three symbols depicting a piece of evidence on adjacent reels. An evidence meter will show how many pieces of evidence you’ve collected. The bonus round ends only when you’ve solved the case. The reward you get depends on the number of lines you play and the amount of your line bet.
