Gameplay begins with setting your bets. You may start by clicking on the Lines +/- tabs to set the number of lines you want to play. You may then click on the Line Bet +/- tabs to set your preferred amount to wager per line. If you want to wager the highest amount allowed, click on the Bet Max tab. To set the reels into motion, click on the Spin tab at the rightmost end of the control panel. For a chosen number of uninterrupted spins, click on the Autoplay tab to the left of the Spin tab.
The game’s low-value symbols are represented by familiar playing card symbols. You will see the 10, J, Q, K, and A symbols in artistic, papyrus-style design. The high-value symbols are all theme-related. They are represented by a book of spells, beakers of potions, a male dragon slayer, and a female dragon slayer.
The game’s Wild symbol is represented by a green dragon. This symbol pays out on its own and can also substitute for any of the other base game symbols, with the exception of the Scatter and the Split symbols. The game’s Scatter symbol is represented by a beautifully-depicted city seemingly floating in the sky, and the Split symbol is represented by a red dragon’s egg. These two symbols are key to the game’s main bonus rounds.
One of the game’s main bonus features is the Dragon Split Feature. This is activated when you land a winning combination, and the Split symbol appears anywhere on the fifth reel. The last symbol in your winning combination will be split into two and counted as two matching symbols. This feature makes combinations of 6 matching symbols possible. Note that the Scatter symbol cannot be split in the base game.
The other main bonus feature of this game is the familiar Free Spins feature. This is activated when you land at least three Scatter symbols anywhere on the reels. You will be rewarded with 15 free spins that come with a ‘dynamic’ multiplier. You will begin the bonus round with a multiplier of between 2x and 5x. After every winning spin, the multiplier will increase in steps of x2, x3, x4, and x5. Note, though, that after every non-winning spin, the multiplier will decrease by one step.
During the Free Spins round, the Scatter symbol also serves as an extra Wild. When it is serving that purpose, it can be subject to the Dragon Split Feature, which means it can be split into two if it is the last symbol in a winning combination. And if you manage to land three more Scatter symbols on any of your free spins, you will get 15 more free spins. You can re-trigger this bonus round an infinite number of times.
