Journey into the heart of ancient China in this 5-reel, 9-payline slot from Novomatic. The game has a simple design and a rather basic gameplay, but it also has a host of features that give you an enjoyable and immersive experience. And just like the game itself, the aesthetics of the slot are simple yet appealing. It has an overall retro appeal that is reminiscent of old school slot machines.

Gameplay begins with setting your bets. You may start by clicking on the Lines tab to set the number of lines you want to play. You may then click on the Bet tab to set the amount you want to wager per line. You can choose to wager 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500, or 1000. To set the reels into motion, click on the red Start tab at the rightmost end of the control panel. If you want the reels to spin automatically, click on the Auto tab to the left of the Start tab.

Feature Symbols

You will not see any of the familiar playing card symbols in this game, as all base game symbols are theme-related. The game’s low-value symbols are represented by Chinese characters in various colours. There’s a purple, pink, blue, green, red, and orange character. The high-value symbols are represented by a golden coin, a Chinese pagoda lamp, some Chinese statues, the Great Wall of China, and a pagoda.

The game’s Wild symbol is represented by the emperor himself. This symbol pays out on its own and can also substitute for any of the other base game symbols, with the exception of the Scatter symbol. The game’s Scatter symbol is represented by the emperor’s flag. It pays out on its own and is also key to the game’s main bonus round.

Bonus Rounds

The game’s main bonus round is the familiar Free Spins feature. This is activated when you land at least three Scatter symbols anywhere on the reels. You will be rewarded with 15 free spins. The Wild symbol appears more often during the free spins, giving you more chances of landing a winning combination.

The bonus round also comes with a x3 multiplier. This means that all wins you land during your free spins will be multiplied by three, giving you a chance to win some huge payouts. And if you manage to land more Scatter symbols during this round, you will get even more free spins.

The game also has a Gamble feature. Every time you land a winning combination, you will be given the option of whether to collect your prize or gamble it. If you choose to gamble, you will be taken to a mini game where you will need to guess the colour of the playing card that’s about to be drawn. If you guess correctly, your prize will be doubled. If you guess wrong, the mini game ends and you lose your total prize for that round.
