RTP: 95.1%

Based on the story of the German scholar who sold his soul to the devil, this 5-reel, 10-payline slot from Novomatic features a high-variance game that could have you winning some huge payouts. The game only has one special symbol and bonus round, but just as Faust gained untold riches, it offers some highly lucrative features. You can play the game on all desktop, mobile, and tablet devices.

Gameplay begins with setting your bets. You may start by clicking on the Lines +/- tabs to set the number of lines you want to play. You may then click on the Bet/Line +/- tabs to set the amount you want to wager per line. To set the reels into motion, click on the Start tab at the rightmost end of the control panel. For a chosen number of uninterrupted spins, click on the Autoplay tab at the leftmost end of the control panel.

Feature Symbols

The game’s low-value symbols are represented by familiar playing card symbols. You will see the 10, J, Q, K, and A symbols in artistic font and a variety of vibrant colours. The game’s high-value symbols are all theme-related. They are represented by a weighing scale with fruits, a rose, and a goblet; the other tray of the weighing scale filled with books and laboratory flasks; Faust’s lover Gretchen; and Faust himself, which is the symbol with the highest value.

The game only has one special symbol, and that is the Scatter symbol represented by the devil Mephisto, to whom Faust sold his soul. This symbol also acts as a Wild, substituting for any of the other base game symbols to help you land a winning combination. Furthermore, the symbol pays out on its own and is also key to the game’s main bonus round.

Bonus Rounds

The game’s main bonus round is the familiar Free Spins feature. This is activated when you land at least three Scatter symbols anywhere on the reels. You will be rewarded with ten free spins. At the beginning of the Free Spins round, one of the standard base game symbols will be randomly selected.

During the free spins, and after the payout for regular symbols has been awarded, the selected symbol may expand to fill three positions on the reels on which it landed if an expansion will result in a win. If you manage to land three more Scatter symbols during any of your free spins, you will be rewarded with even more free spins.

The game also has a Gamble feature. Every time you land a winning combination, you will be given the option of whether to collect your prize or gamble it. If you choose to gamble, you will be taken to a mini-game where you will need to guess the colour of the next playing card to be drawn. If you guess correctly, your prize will be doubled. If you guess wrong, the mini-game ends and you lose your total prize for that spin.
