House of Doom Online Slot Review

  • Progressive Jackpot: No
  • Paylines: 10
  • Reels: 5
  • RTP: 96.11%

Enter the world of darkness as rock and roll music plays in the background of this game called House of Doom from Play n Go. This five-reel slot machine features a design that is synonymous with its title, a scary house that is sure to invoke feelings of doom and fear with its front lawn littered with skulls and darkness all over. The house’s windows have eerie cross symbols on them and the game container is adorned by skulls with purple eyes.

The music is reminiscent of those rock bands that play somewhat satanic riffs, with loud squeals and heavily-distorted sounds to add to the feel of the game. The reels spinning sounds is drowned by this loud music but this does not stop the developer from adding it in for more slot machine realism. When you enter the house during the House of Doom free spins round, you will see a creepy messed-up interior with winding stairs going up in the background along with a broken door, high windows with shadows, and a purple hue covering everything.

The game’s controls are typical of any Play N Go slot machine, with the Spin button easy enough to discern from all the buttons by its size and play symbol on it. Adjusting your bets can only be done one way, and that is by pressing the plus and minus symbols on the bet selection lineup at the bottom. Hands-free spins can be launched via the Auto Play button to the right of the Spin button and you can choose from 10 auto spins up to 100 auto spins here.

FEATURE SYMBOLS

This creepy rock and roll slot machine has symbols that are ideal for the theme of the game. These include high paying symbols such as the blindfolded seer with her crystal ball, satanic goat head, flaming rose, bound cross, and pentagram pendant. Lower paying symbols are the top 5 card numbers in a blood red hue and calligraphed font.

Other symbols you are bound to see on the reels include the flaming skull which is the Scatter symbol of the game. The Wild symbol of this machine is the House of Doom logo.

BONUS ROUNDS

This game has a few extras for you to enjoy, and these include the Hellgate feature, the Skulls of Abyss pick a skull game, and the Doom Spins which is the Free Spins feature of the machine.

Hellgate Feature

This feature occurs during the base game and is basically a stacked wild feature that is triggered when a wild symbol appears on the highlighted reel.

Doom Spins Feature

This free spins feature can actually be triggered two ways. It can be launched when three of the House of Doom logos are on the reels. It can also be launched when you pick the logo on the skull selection game in the Skulls of Abyss feature. When you launch the free spins mode, you get an initial 10 free spins, but you can add to this when more of the logo appear on the reels while you are in free spins mode. This is where you can get lots of free spins since each logo adds 1 free spin to your total.

Skulls of Abyss

This is launched when you get three flaming demon skulls on your reels. You will be asked to pick a skull to see what you win. If you pick any multiplier below 5X, you get to pick again. If you pick either a 5X, 20X, or the House of Doom logo, it will end the selection process.
