In the past 5 years, the World Series of Poker (WSOP) has been sponsored by 888Poker. This year, they are continuing with the said sponsorship for the 6th year in a row. This means the WSOP is still going to be under the wing of 888Poker.
This year, players will be housed in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino, which is located in Las Vegas. Their matches will also be aired both on ESPN and online, giving enthusiasts and fans lots of options to catch their favorite poker players in action. It will also be broadcast on PokerGo, giving poker fanatics easy access to the games as well.
To qualify for the main event, poker players from outside the US will be given a chance to compete via the online platform of 888Poker. These will include online promos, satellite tournaments, and other campaigns. This is a multi-step process that will see qualifiers competing to become a part of this prestigious annual event.
Beginning on the 23rd of February and ending on June 14, players will be given the opportunity to bag a $15,000 World Series of Poker package. This will include the $10,000 buy-in for the tournament and $888 to be used as buy-in for the side event called Crazy 8. Also included in this prize package is the cost of travel and the accommodations.
The previous year, the WSOP had a record number of entries, which reached approximately 187,000. This brought in a staggering $295 million in poker prize money. This year, the company is hoping to top that.

They are proud to be partners with the World Series of Poker and are committed to make the game more accessible to more players as well as to further promoting the tournament.
